There are two powertrains that are available for the new Ford Transit Connect. The base engine of the Ford Transit Connect is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 162 horsepower and 144 pound-feet of torque. The larger 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which is also available for the Transit Connect, produces 169 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque on the roads of Sacramento. Every Transit Connect van is equipped with a front-wheel drive drivetrain. The 2.0-liter engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the 2.5-liter engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Interior and Cargo
The Ford Transit Connect has a spacious interior that Modesto drivers can configure with plenty of empty space as a cargo van or with three rows of seats as a passenger van. As a cargo van, the Ford Transit Connect provides nearly 146 cubic feet of space for cargo in its interior. On the other hand, seven people can sit comfortably inside the cabin of the passenger-van variant of the Transit Connect.

There are two display sizes that are available for the infotainment system of the Ford Transit Connect.
