The Mustang has three engine options for customers in Galt to consider. A standard, all-new 2.3-liter turbocharged I-4 engine produces 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. An available 5.0-liter V-8 engine produces 480 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the top-tier Dark Horse trim features a boosted version of the V-8 engine that produces 500 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque. The base engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, while models with a V-8 engine come standard with a six-speed manual transmission (while making the 10-speed automatic optional). All Mustang models come standard with rear-wheel drive.

- Dark Horse: Adds a 500-horsepower engine, Brembo brakes, a performance exhaust, six-piston front brake calipers, heavy-duty front springs, an open-air induction system, performance tuning, and oil coolers.
Ford Mustang Tech & Safety
The Mustang has an impressive infotainment system, the highlight being a single, curved front display. The display includes a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster and a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen.
